For several months now, I've tried to be intentional about spending 15 minutes of one-on-one time during the weekday with each of the kids. It doesn't always happen but my day feels more complete when I've been intentional about having this time.
Sometimes I suggest to the kids what we could do and sometimes I leave it open-ended. Here's the results of one of the projects Luke wanted to tackle - a bear for Ben:
Very scrappy but it was a first attempt with a pattern I made myself. Ben hasn't developed a Reeseie/Judah like attachment to it, but when we put it in his crib he is very particular about how the bear is placed on the pillow next to him (never in his arms and sometimes with a blanket covering the bear). Luke also had me draw a guitar for the bear on orange construction paper which Ben loved, but paper guitars don't last long in the hands of a 21 month-old so it's already been recycled. :)
