April Fool's Joke

Ever since I saw this prank in Family Fun magazine I've been giddy with excitment to try it on the kids and thought I'd share in case you want to get in on the fun.

Here's what you need:
  • drinking glasses/cups (for the kids, I'll use the usual plastic cups I give them for their drinks)
  • unflavored gelatin
  • favorite fruit juice (I guess you could do it with water or maybe milk, but I can't verify for the taste or effect)

This is what you do:

  • Mix up the quanity of juice you want to use according to the gelatin package directions
  • Pour the mixture into the glasses/cups
  • Put in the fridge to set
  • When it's ready, pull out said cups and call your kids for a refreshing drink
  • Enjoy the looks of puzzlement and squeals of delight when they find out it's really jello

I plan on doing this the night before since breakfast is usually the meal when they get juice. Let me know if you go in on this for your family and what the reactions are.

Shhhh....don't tell the kids!
