March is Art Month

In connection with this post, here's a glimpse of what we'll be doing next month...what I'll now refer to as mARTch. Sometimes I work better in themes. :)

Most days of mARTch, we'll be doing some sort of craft - ones that I hope the boys also will find interesting and easy to do. I will attempt to take pictures and post our finished projects in case you also want to give them a try. Some days will simply be coloring on paper. We'll also look at famous and maybe some not-so-famous paintings and talk about what is going on in the picture. We might make our own versions of these paintings and sell them as cheap knock offs.

Just kidding...sort of. You see, depending on how this goes and what our finished projects look like, we may really try to sell them and raise money for "the least of these" among us - especially children. Brianna often says she wants to sell her pictures to people who don't have any or to people who have no food. Which causes me to explain that usually these people don't have money to buy these things so maybe it would be better to sell pictures and raise money so that we can give them food.

I figured if I could get Dad and Mom to buy my cotton ball pictures for 1 cent and 5 cents respectively when I was somewhere around Brie's age, then with the rate of inflation being what it is, any pictures we come up with should be worth...well, I'm not sure what they would be worth since math is not a strong point.

mARTch - here we come!
