After four years of starting this project, we're finally getting around to completing it, thanks to the help of a wonderful gentleman introduced to us by some friends. Reese refers to him as "Uncle Tom"...I don't know why...I guess he was impressed with him, too.
Usually, I think of taking before pictures after we're well into the remodel. This time I caught it in the much earlier phase. While you'll notice drawers missing from the cabinet, there actually were a few drawer fronts missing already. The mirror and plywood "wall" behind the mirror are the only two other things that Dave removed. Here are the befores:
I also had to take a picture up close of the wallpaper which was behind the mirror/plywood "wall." Why? Because in perusing some wallpaper books (Dave wants to redo our bedroom walls in wallpaper given their sorry state), I came across a pattern that was very similar. Except the rectangles were much bigger. It may be back in style, but would you really want to look at it every day for the rest of your life? (Or at least untill the next remodel project)
Can't wait to post the before and afters side by side in a few weeks!
