Luke Milestones

Wow - time goes so quickly with three little ones. Probably the biggest indication of that is the lack of any scrapbook for Luke (Brie & Reese each have mostly completed ones of their first year) and the fact that I finally got around to doing his one year handprint just last week!

Here's the latest on Lukie:
  • He knows where his body parts are when asked
  • He intentially says daddy and mommy - daddy gets the most use! He has sounds which have meaning for things and speaks fluent Lukese but we don't always know what he's saying
  • He's beginning to learn his animal sounds - he has a snake and wolf down pat
  • He started climbing down the stairs on his feet while holding the handrail (vs. sliding on his tummy) while we were in Wilmington
  • He does not like showers
  • He learned how to drink from straw while we were on our trip
  • He has great aim when throwing a ball (or other objects)
  • He can negotiate the playgrounds quite well and has taken to swinging like a monkey on the bar above the slide. Hmmm...I wonder where he learned that?!
  • He knows which way to go to the park
  • He loves dogs - okay this isn't a milestone but he always excitedly points them out
  • He's taking more of an interest in having books read to him and sits through most books
