Odds 'n Ends

Dave got back from Boston on Sunday - he was gone since Tuesday - the longest time we've been apart since we've been together. Other than getting Reese's finger caught in our screen door that Tuesday night (yes, it meant another trip to the Urgent Care Center!), God graciously helped us get through the week. Keeping busy was a help and the kids were great.

Reese is starting to take more of an interest in using the potty - helped, no doubt, by allowing him to walk around sans diaper (he also likes walking around sans anything, but we do require him to at least wear boxers :) ). Praying that by the end of the summer, he'll be using the potty 100% of the time during his waking hours.

Can't believe we're about 2 1/2 months away from Brie starting school. I was looking at her in church yesterday and wondering at the fact that she had been in the pews with us in the baby carrier. Now she's learning to quietly color pictures and brave the "Children's Word" segment on her own. Time seems to go at warp speed with children in the picture.

Brie's ballet "Student Showcase" is this Saturday - it will be interesting to see whether she goes on stage in the end.

Luke continues to develop his own special personality. He still likes to be right in the thick of things and it's rare when he doesn't smile. He gets quite excited to see dogs and loves to greet people when they come to our house. I'm looking forward to seeing how he and Reese bond once Brie is in school since it will be a different dynamic. Though I'm missing having Brie at home already. What will it be like come August?
